Argentina Ciudadana was part of the Promoter Group “A day to give”, a campaign to celebrate “giving” an exceptional call, one day a year, to conduct and disseminate solidarity actions. The diffusion relies heavily on social networks (hence the “#”). This idea was inspired by #givingtuesday, a movement born in 2012 in the USA against purchase day known as “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” following the Thanksgiving in that country (for more on this one, visit www.givingtuesday.org). In 2013, the movement has begun to replicate in other countries, with the potential to become a global day to celebrate “giving”.
Together with other civil society organizations from Argentina Ciudadana we urge the first event of its kind in Argentina.
Under the laws of judicial reform approved by the National Congress, the Permanent Assembly in Defense of the Constitution began a campaign called “Commitment to Repeal and Report” in which legislators were invited to sign a commitment that boost the repeal of the rules, if the ruling party lost its parliamentary majority in the next election .
If the unconstitutional is confirmed and the choice of directors of the Judiciary is made directly, the candidates will be proposed by the opposition Directors, the company’s commitment to waive charges for on that illegitimate means.
From Argentina Citizen we accompany this initiative and we collaborated, making telephone and approaching contacting different offices to deliver commitment.
